The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The renowned video game developer passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, according to.

"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
