One 60-day cruise around the Land Down Under is being halted following the fatal incident of an senior lady who was stranded by the cruise liner on a distant island.

The passenger had been hiking on the tropical location with shipmates from the vessel, but parted ways from the excursion for a break. The liner departed without her and went back after some time after the ship staff became aware the passenger was unaccounted for.

An extensive rescue mission discovered her person the following day.

Investigative bodies are investigating the incident, in coordination with investigators and the state coroner.
