England Coach Tim Southee Uncertain on The Ashes Availability

England's fast-bowling advisor Southee is currently evaluating the extent of his role will be at the forthcoming Ashes contest in Australia.

The ex- Kiwi pace bowler is expected to be available for the opening match due to his involvement in the International League T20 tournament, which starts on December 2 in the UAE.

The 36-year-old, 36, took up a role as the English team's pace bowling advisor in the warmer months after claiming 391 wickets in 107 Tests for New Zealand.

Speaking as England's team for the opening of three T20 matches against the Kiwis was named, Southee stated of his availability: "We're still working through that at the present time.

"We'll see the outcome over the next little while."

English bowling legend Stuart Broad had stated the Australian side as their "worst team since 2010", but the consultant was in little doubt over what to expect during the contest, which starts on 21 November.

"In my view there's at any time a poor Aussie side," he remarked.

"Our focus is squarely on our own objectives. In my opinion the caliber of [England's] team that's heading out to Australia is excellent.
